Referral Instructions
Requests are made on ICE for CT, X-ray and MRI and via e-RS for Ultrasound.
Requests made via ICE are automatically allocated, by a set algorithm, to the closest available provider with the ability to deliver the requested test. The referral is then vetted against the provider criteria within 48 hours.
Investigation requests that are clinically appropriate for referral, but do not meet the suitability to be seen within the Community Diagnostic Centres, will be redirected to be performed at RCHT.
Ultrasound referrals will continue to be processed by the referral management service.
