BO is managed in secondary care. Management for BO detected at endoscopy or on histology will be automatically arranged by the Gastroenterologists without any involvement from the GP. It is reasonable for GPs to contact the Gastroenterology secretaries in situations where this has not happened e.g. Where the GP has been asked to advise the patient on surveillance.
