Diabetes Remission

NHS Type 2 Diabetes Path to Remission Programme delivered by Counterweight. Is an evidence-based 12-month weight management programme including an initial total diet replacement (TDR) phase for weight loss. The programme is based on the DiRECT trial and is designed to support people diagnosed with type 2 diabetes to achieve:

  • Significant weight loss
  • Improvement in HbA1c

The medically supervised programme provides patients with specialist support (dietitians, nutritionists, psychologists, medical team). Each phase of the programme is designed to support patients in building sustainable long-term behavioural change, weight loss and weight maintenance.
