With effect from 3 September 2018 an organisation called Mental Health Matters (MHM) will provide telephone support out of hours (5.00pm – 9.00am on weekdays and all days on weekends and public holidays)
This will ensure people who are feeling low, anxious, stressed; are in emotional distress or who are a carer have quick and easy access to emotional guidance and information over the telephone. In addition, MHM provide an online chat and text services.
Who will MHM support?
MHM will be available for everyone aged 16 and over who are being supported by Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
We will ensure that people currently on our caseload are given the new free-phone number. We will also put an answerphone message on our current 0845 numbers promoting the new free-phone number.
About MHM
MHM was established 32 years ago by families and carers in the North East, to provide support and care for people they loved with mental health problems. Today, they have grown into a major national organisation supporting 15,500 people per month with mental health needs, learning disabilities and other conditions across the UK, through a range of evidence based and innovative services.
MHM are well established in Plymouth where they have been providing a similar service for the past four years, with excellent results.
