Health for Homeless Service

Provides healthcare services to homeless people across CIOS. Patients can self-refer, with drop-in clinics run on most weekdays in Truro, Camborne and Penzance. Medical advice and treatment is available including immunisations, health promotion, mental health, shared care, hostel detox, dental care, foot care and housing solutions. Patients are encouraged to register to receive treatment.

St Petroc’s

Local charity working with homeless people in Cornwall to help find accommodation and provide advice on housing, benefits and independent living. Food and clothes stores are available, as well as laundry, shower and storage facilities.

Coastline Housing – Homeless and Social Exclusion Service

Offers accommodation for single people with support needs who are homeless or in housing need, including ex-offenders and people with mental health or substance misuse problems. It is available for people aged 18-99yr. Self-referral is accepted, but anyone can refer on behalf of the patient. It is within walking distance of Camborne Train Station and the nearest bus stop is Tesco Extra, Pool.

Cornwall Refuge Trust

Domestic abuse specialists providing accommodation for women, men and children who have escaped domestic abuse, offering them a safe and supportive environment in which to recover from their experiences. They can also signpost out of county.

Local charity promoting good mental health through personal development, education and employment. One project, Next Steps, has been set up in partnership with Cornwall Mind, Health for Homeless and Rethink Mental Illness, to help people transition out of homeless.
