- In emergencies, phone 999
- If unable to speak, the patient can use ‘The Silent Solution’ (the highest priority response) by pressing 55 to alert the operator that help is needed.
- In non-emergencies, phone 101 and ask for the Public Protection Unit.

- Safer Futures is delivered by a partnership of local charities in Cornwall. It is led in partnership by Women’s Centre Cornwall and Barnardo’s, alongside our specialist providers: Konnect Communities, West Cornwall Women’s Aid, The Olive Project, Intercom Trust and CLEAR. The service is funded by Safer Cornwall
- Provides advice and support for people (aged 5 years and over) affected by domestic abuse, sexual violence and those demonstrating abusive behaviours
- The service includes the Helpline Response Team, Independent Domestic Violence Advisers, Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence (DASV) Therapy, The Susie Project, The ReConnect Domestic Abuse Children and Young Person Recovery Programme, The Change 4U Behaviour Change Programme, DASV Training for Professionals
- There is also a programme which provides education within schools.
Plymouth Sexual Violence Counselling: 03458 12 12 12
- Support for people who have been affected by sexual violence, by providing therapy and counselling. Only available to people living in the Plymouth area.
Devon and Cornwall SARC (Sexual Assault Referral Centres): 0300 303 4626
- Provides help and support for people who have experienced rape or sexual assault in Devon, Cornwall and IOS
- There are referral centres in Exeter, Plymouth and Truro. The Truro SARC is based at the Willow Centre, Truro Health Park.
WAVES (Working Against Violence Empowering Survivors): 07815 136 743
- Provides confidential counselling for people over 16yr old who have been a victim of domestic violence or abuse.
CLEAR for Adults: 01872 261 147
- Supporting adult survivors of sexual abuse and other emotional trauma.

- Support group run by men for men. Weekly meetings in Truro.

- Supports male victims of domestic abuse and can help provide safe accommodation for men and their children in Cornwall.

- Support group run by women for women.

- 24-hour domestic abuse helpline providing advice and support for victims and survivors of domestic abuse, as well as offering refuge accommodation for men, women and children.
